Introducing Scripture & Story

Welcome to SCRIPTURE & STORY! Thanks for joining me here! I’m super excited to swap stories with you.

I’m a Bible teacher with a passion for biblical literacy. God’s story is one seamless grand narrative of redemption, full of mystery and adventure, passion and heartache, unlikely people with impossible callings, and unimaginable plot twists and unfinished endings. And every page points to Jesus Christ. I open the pages of Scripture to study, write and speak, in hopes that it might encourage women in their pursuit of God. Forever a student, I’m the one frantically taking notes through every sermon at my local church, playing a podcast during mundane tasks, and highlighting bits of wisdom in the stacks of books on my nightstand. It’s my honour to serve you in this space.

WHAT WILL YOU FIND HERE?

  • Encouragement to engage with God’s Word.

  • Inspiration to know God better.

  • Challenges to dig deeper into Scripture.

  • Stories about how God is working in the lives of people.

SO WHY THE NAME SCRIPTURE AND STORY?

  1. Jesus taught in story. He combined Scripture and story. Principle and parable. Truth and tales. The two were always brilliantly intertwined to dramatically impact the hearts of His listeners.

  2. Scripture is the greatest story ever told. Written by the God of the universe, the Bible tells the dramatic tale of relentless redemption. It’s full of mystery and adventure, passion and heartache, unlikely people with impossible callings, and unimaginable plot twists and unfinished endings. And every page points to Jesus Christ.

  3. God’s story transforms our stories. The Bible brings clarity, conviction, wisdom, purpose, and freedom—it teaches, trains, equips, and renews our minds. And when we immerse ourselves in Scripture, we will soon discover that our stories fit into God’s greater story.

There’s only one thing that’s better than studying God’s Word, and that is this: studying God’s Word in community! As we share how God is revealing Himself to us through His Word, we can learn from each other. And couldn’t we all use a little cheering on? Let’s grab our Bibles and get to know Him together.
